From Blood Donation to Reviving Nature: 'Ajawid 4' Initiatives Shine in Asir During Ramadan
The Asir region saw vibrant social and environmental activities as part of the 'Ajawid 4' initiative, including a blood donation campaign and a project for environmental sustainability.
The Asir region witnessed extensive social and environmental activity as part of the 'Ajawid 4' Ramadan initiative, manifested in the launch of humanitarian campaigns and unique sustainability projects with wide participation from governmental, private, and youth entities.
A blood donation campaign was launched from the main operations room of the initiative, under the 'Asir Follows' path, with active partnership between Ajawid, the youth community 'Tharaa', the sub-council of charitable associations, and the branch of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
The campaign continues the journey of giving initiated by the region's Emir, following the example of the Crown Prince who donated blood at the end of 2025, to enhance volunteer work and support blood banks. The campaign organizers called on all segments of society and youth to take the lead in this humanitarian effort during the holy month.
In the environmental sustainability path, the 'From It Returns' project emerged, offering an innovative model that combines creativity and environmental protection. The project involves collecting damaged and wasted wood from nature, which could pose an environmental burden, and repurposing it into artistic and craft works that reflect the identity and authenticity of the region.
The project's concept relies on marketing these artistic pieces and reinvesting their proceeds to plant new seedlings and revive the vegetation cover. The initiative also serves as an ideal platform to harness the energies of the talented artists and craftsmen that Asir is rich with, amid ambitious aspirations of the team to bring these local artistic pieces to global platforms.
