Saudi rider Ramzy Al-Duhami wins gold in individual show jumping at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games, with Abdulrahman Al-Rajhi taking silver.

Saudi rider Ramzy Al-Duhami clinched the gold medal in the individual show jumping event (up to 1.55 meters) at the 20th Asian Games "Aichi-Nagoya 2026" on Sunday, while fellow Saudi Abdulrahman Al-Rajhi secured the silver medal.

The bronze went to Qatari rider Bassem Mohammed, completing the podium with two Saudi riders in the top two positions.

Al-Rajhi had led the first round on Saturday, riding "Lorenzo ES" flawlessly with a time of 72.87 seconds, while Al-Duhami was third on "Untouchable 32" with a time of 73.95 seconds, according to the International Equestrian Federation. In the final round, Al-Duhami turned the tables to seize the gold.

Two Golds in Four Days

This marks Al-Duhami's second gold at the Games, following his team gold win on Thursday alongside Al-Rajhi, Khaled Al-Mobty, and Saad Al-Ajmi. The team had outperformed the UAE, who took silver, and Japan, who took bronze.

The Ministry of Sports wrote on their "X" platform account: "From team gold... to individual gold."

Four Medals for Equestrian

This edition's individual competitions are being held at two levels for the first time, with a new event reaching up to 1.55 meters added alongside the usual competition.

In the other event (1.45–1.50 meters), Khaled Al-Mobty won the bronze, bringing Saudi Arabia's equestrian medal tally to four: two golds, one silver, and one bronze.

Al-Duhami is considered one of the Kingdom's top riders and was part of the team that won the bronze in the team event at the 2012 London Olympics.
