The Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, announced the launch of a major military operation called 'Dawn of Yemen', aimed at restoring state institutions and liberating the capital, Sana'a, from the grip of the Houthi coup group.

On the ground, the Yemeni army announced its control over the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, a waterway of immense strategic importance. The army spokesperson confirmed that the armed forces have cut off the road linking the areas of Dhubab and Mokha and have established full fire control over it.

He added that hundreds of Houthi elements are besieged in Dhubab and must surrender to the government forces.

The Yemeni forces confirmed the liberation of strategic sites around the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, noting that military operations are ongoing with the aim of restoring state institutions and ending the Houthi coup.
