King Salman Center Expands Its Humanitarian Efforts: Specialized Operations and Urgent Aid Benefit Thousands Worldwide
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has launched a series of relief projects, including medical campaigns in Gaza and food distributions in Syria, Afghanistan, and Chad.
Gaza — Volunteer Medical Projects
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center is implementing several volunteer medical projects in the Gaza Strip, covering areas such as general surgery, orthopedic surgery, joint replacement, neurosurgery, and urology. These projects are scheduled from July 2 to August 2, 2026.
Since the campaign's inception, the center's volunteer medical team has performed 17 general surgeries, 22 orthopedic and joint replacement surgeries, 8 neurosurgeries, and 12 urology surgeries, in addition to examining 260 individuals. All operations have been successful.
Gaza — Food Distribution
The center's central kitchen distributed 25,000 hot meals to the most needy in central and southern Gaza as part of the Saudi Popular Campaign to Aid the Palestinian People.
Afghanistan — Food Baskets in Balkh
The center distributed 789 food baskets to returnees from neighboring countries, displaced persons, the needy, and orphans in the Dawlatabad district of Balkh province, Afghanistan. This initiative benefited 5,532 individuals representing 789 families as part of the 2026 Food Security and Emergency Project in Afghanistan.
Syria — Date Cartons in Hasakah
The center distributed 3,500 cartons of dates to those affected in Hasakah province, Syria, benefiting 3,500 families as part of the Saudi Aid Project for the Syrian People.
Chad — Food Baskets in Umm Hajer
The center distributed 500 food baskets to the most needy in the city of Umm Hajer, Batha region, Chad, benefiting 3,000 individuals as part of the 2026 In-Kind Aid Distribution Project in Chad.
Yemen — Health Services in Hajjah
The Emergency Center for Epidemic Control in Hayran district, Hajjah province, supported by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, provided medical services to 5,774 beneficiaries in June 2026. These included 1,854 children in the pediatric clinic, 963 individuals in the internal medicine clinic, and 2,957 patients in the epidemic control clinic.
In support services, the laboratory department attended to 1,441 patients, the pharmacy dispensed medication to 5,509 beneficiaries, 1,641 patients were admitted for observation, and 17 rounds of medical waste disposal were conducted.
