Indian Village Displays Crown Prince and Saudi Players' Image in Support of Saudi National Team

In a scene reflecting the deep human ties between Saudi Arabia and the Indian state of Kerala, social media users have shared a video showing the entrance of a village in the Malappuram district of Kerala, adorned with a large banner featuring Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman alongside players of the Saudi national team, in support of the 'Green Falcons' on their journey to the 2026 World Cup.

Mohammed Rafeeq, a local resident, explained that the villagers' support for the Saudi team stems from the close relationship they share with the Kingdom, noting that a large number of people from Malappuram and Kerala have been working in Saudi Arabia for years, which has strengthened feelings of love and gratitude towards the Saudi people.

A villager stated that they prefer to support the Saudi national team despite the participation of strong teams, adding: "Many people from Kerala work in Saudi Arabia, so we are with Saudi Arabia wholeheartedly, and we wish success for the Saudi team and all Arab teams."

The video has sparked widespread interaction on social media platforms, with followers considering this initiative a testament to the close relations between the Saudi and Indian peoples, and a reflection of the positive impact the Kingdom has had on the Indian community, especially those from Kerala.
