The Al-Bukayriyah Date Market, in its 17th edition, is witnessing significant economic activity, with daily sales exceeding 250 tons of various types of dates. This surge is driven by the wide participation of shoppers, farmers, and traders from Al-Bukayriyah and neighboring provinces.
The market runs for 75 days at its location on King Salman bin Abdulaziz Road, under the supervision of Al-Bukayriyah Governorate. It is jointly organized by the local office of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, the National Center for Palms and Dates, and the National Agricultural Services Company, in collaboration with Al-Bukayriyah Municipality, the Community Committee, and several participating entities.
The market offers a variety of date types, including "Sukkari," "Hishishi," "Manasif," "Barhi," "Wanana," "Saqie," and "Medjool." It features 20 lanes to serve farmers and date sellers, along with an auction held twice daily to facilitate the buying and selling process and accommodate incoming quantities.
The Al-Bukayriyah Date Market is a vital economic contributor and a launch point for date markets in the Qassim region. It benefits from the abundant production of palm farms in the province, the diversity and quality of its dates, meeting the increasing demand for dates and supporting agricultural and commercial activities in the area.
