Saudi Arabia Increases Medal Tally to 63 at Doha 2026 Gulf Games as Women's Padel Team Shines Against UAE
Saudi Arabia continues to collect medals at the fourth Gulf Games in Doha 2026, raising the tally to 63 medals.
Saudi snooker players Ziyad Al-Qabbani and Abdullah Al-Shammari claimed two new medals in the snooker competitions on Monday, as part of the fourth Gulf Games "Doha 2026".
Al-Qabbani secured second place and the silver medal in the snooker singles (15-ball) competition, after losing in the final to Qatari Ali Al-Obaidli, who took the gold, while Al-Shammari won the bronze.
In the women's category, the Saudi padel team won their second group stage match in the Gulf Games against the UAE team with a score of 2-1. The team, represented by Al-Anoud Yamani, Areej Farah, Samaher Kurdi, Sarah Salhab, Basmah Al-Huwaish, and Lina Al-Abdullatif, will face the Kuwaiti team at 10 AM tomorrow, Tuesday.
In handball competitions, the Saudi team lost their second match in the Doha Gulf Games on Monday against Bahrain with a score of 25-36 at the Duhail Sports Hall. The Saudi handball team will face the Kuwaiti team at 4:30 PM tomorrow, Tuesday.
The Saudi archery team has begun its competitions, with Mansour Alawi and Hessa Al-Suraie representing the team in the mixed Olympic bow competition, and Bilal Al-Awadi and Raghad Al-Kaabi in the mixed compound bow. Abdullah Al-Salloum, Abdulrahman Al-Mousa, and Mansour Alawi will compete in the team Olympic bow matches, while Abdulaziz Al-Roudan, Bilal Al-Awadi, and Abdullah Al-Minhali will compete in the team compound bow events.
The shooting competition "Shotgun Trap" will resume at 9:30 AM tomorrow, Tuesday, at the Lusail Shooting Range. At the same time, the men's and women's air pistol competitions will take place, featuring Naif Al-Sahli, Mohammed Al-Omari, Ali Al-Ghamdi, Safar Al-Dosari, Fahd Al-Mutairi, Noura Al-Suqairan, Najd Al-Badai, and Walaa Al-Qurashi.
