World Bank Praises 'SDAIA' Experience: A Saudi Model for Data Integration Across 60 Government Entities

The World Bank has highlighted the experience of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SDAIA), considering it a model to emulate in building an integrated data system and supporting its integration among government entities.

This was mentioned in the World Development Report 2026 issued by the World Bank Group under the title 'The Promise of Artificial Intelligence', noting that 'SDAIA' enables the integration of data from more than 60 government entities while keeping the data within their systems, placing this experience among the models supporting organized data exchange between government entities.

The report discussed the Saudi experience in the global AI landscape, ranking the Kingdom among the top 10 countries globally in AI investment, highlighting it as an attractive destination for specialized talents, reflecting a comprehensive national path established by Saudi Vision 2030 to build a data-driven, computing, and innovation-based economy.

In the area of human capabilities, the report stated that the Kingdom recorded significant progress in attracting specialized talents in 2025, among the economies with the highest net inflow rates of AI workers per 10,000 members on the 'LinkedIn' platform. The net inflow of elite AI talents reached 3.08 in the same year, reflecting the attractiveness of the Saudi tech environment for specialized expertise.

The publication of this report coincides with the designation of 2026 as the 'Year of Artificial Intelligence' in the Kingdom, embodying the national focus on data and AI technologies and their role in supporting development, innovation, and enhancing competitiveness, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
