The Riyadh Chamber is organizing a forum on the legal aspects of mergers and acquisitions for companies and investment opportunities on Monday, August 31, 2026. The event will feature participation from the Ministry of Commerce, the General Authority for Competition, the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, and Al-Sharq Al-Awsat Colleges. This initiative is part of efforts to enhance the environment for mergers and acquisitions and enable companies to capitalize on investment opportunities in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to develop the private sector and improve market efficiency.
The forum aims to support the mergers and acquisitions environment by linking regulatory and organizational aspects with investment opportunities, and by proposing practical pathways to enhance the readiness of companies to engage in mergers and acquisitions under more efficient and clear frameworks.
The forum will include four main sessions: the first session will present the strategic and regulatory vision for mergers and acquisitions in the Kingdom; the second session will discuss mergers and acquisitions as a tool to enhance growth and maximize investment value; the third session will cover the regulatory and supervisory framework for mergers and acquisitions in the Kingdom; and the fourth session will discuss the role of regulatory bodies in enabling the mergers and acquisitions market.
The forum will also address the support of investment deals and discuss mergers and acquisitions as a strategic tool for the growth and sustainability of small and medium enterprises.
The forum targets business men and women, investors, legal professionals including lawyers, consultants, compliance officers, board members, and governance teams, as well as small and medium enterprises. It aims to serve as a platform that brings together regulatory and enabling bodies, investors, and practitioners under one umbrella to support company growth, raise regulatory awareness, and reduce the risks associated with mergers and acquisitions deals.
