The annual inflation rate in Saudi Arabia recorded 1.8% in July 2026 compared to the same month in 2025, while the Consumer Price Index rose by 0.2% on a monthly basis compared to last June, according to data from the General Authority for Statistics.

The data showed an increase in prices for 'housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels' by 4.2% year-on-year, making it the sector with the highest increase, followed by 'personal care, social protection, and other goods and services' at 2.9%, 'recreation, sports, and culture' at 2.4%, and 'restaurants and accommodation services' at 2%.

Additionally, prices for 'food and beverages' increased by 1.5%, 'transportation' by 1.4%, 'insurance and financial services' by 1.4%, 'education services' by 1.2%, 'information and communication' by 0.6%, and 'health' by 0.3%.

Conversely, some sectors recorded a decrease in prices, with 'furniture, household equipment, and routine household maintenance' dropping by 0.5%, and 'clothing and footwear' by 0.4%, while 'tobacco' prices increased by 0.4%.
